Security and privacy basics

Understand account controls, data boundaries, customer links, and production-readiness expectations.

Account controls

Use unique users, strong passwords, MFA where available, narrow roles, and prompt offboarding. Owner and admin access should be reserved for trusted operators.

Customer links

Customer links should be scoped, revocable, and sent only to intended recipients. Avoid sending links through channels the customer does not trust.

Data boundaries

Keep company, customer, worker, document, and payment data in the correct workspace. Do not reuse test exports, sample records, or legacy provider credentials in production.

Production readiness

Before live use, confirm Barker-owned infrastructure, domain, email, SMS, storage, Stripe, and provider credentials. Rotate any credentials that were exposed during setup.
